A Human Scale

One of the project goals was that the reading areas of the library be cozy rather than institutional.  Happily, this dovetailed with one of the energy efficiency strategies, as one of the easiest ways to increase the efficiency of the lighting is simply to bring the lighting closer to the task.  The end result was a pleasantly residential feel to the reading areas.
